So if you haven’t heard, Vital Proteins is my absolute FAVORITE way to add protein and vitamins into my daily regimen. They have a few classic products that seem manageable to put into your smoothies like their Collagen Peptides or Collagen Beauty Greens.

Something that I was even hesitant about was their Beef Gelatin Collagen Protein… My mind instantly went to WTF?! Though I’ve completely changed my outlook on it, I’m pretty sure everyone had the same first reaction.

I’m here to tell you how GREAT and EASY and TASTY the Beef Gelatin is in some not so common recipes.

Here are my top three ways to add this high protein powder to your daily lives:

COFFEE

The only way you should add a scoop of this stuff to your coffee is if you put either hot or cold brewed coffee added to a blender, a pinch of cinnamon, splash of nut milk, and a scoop of Vital Proteins Beef Gelatin. Once all those ingredients are in the blender, you blend it! This will create a beautifully thick and frothy latte that you can sip on your couch while you catch up on New Girl or take to-go while others gawk over your barista skills.

PROTEIN SHAKE

For mornings I don’t have time to make food, I make my grab-and-go shake. It includes 1 scoop of Vanilla Veggie Protein by MRM, 1 tsp of Gaia Herb Maca Powder, 1 tsp Wheat Grass Powder, and of course 1 full scoop of Vital Proteins Beef Gelatin.

Usually I’ll throw all these powders into my Blender Bottle and toss it in my gym bag, then when I’m ready for it, I’ll add water and shake it up on the spot! For mornings that I want something a little extra special, I add in Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk to make the texture even thicker and it tastes just like a vanilla milkshake (but incredibly healthy and full of protein and nutrients)!

Tip: For this one, you definitely need the blending ball + blender bottle combo. The gelatin thickens quickly and can clump if you don’t!

JELLO

 

Instead of using your typical processed, sugar filled jello boxes, opt for a protein gummy instead!

The Recipe:
1.5 Cups Fresh/No Sugar Added Fruit Juice
1/4 Cup Cold Water
1/4 Cup Hot Water (just below boiling)
1-2 Scoops Vital Proteins Beef Gelatin

The Steps:
1. Place 1/4 cup cold water + Vital Proteins Beef Gelatin in mason Jar or Mixing bowl and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE! Make sure it’s well dissolved because this will thicken rather quickly!
2. Add in 1/4 cup hot water to same mixture. This will thin the mixture and help prep it for the juice!
3. Add juice. SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE.
4. Transfer to a glass baking dish and place in fridge to set. VOILA!
