What: CoreCardio Circuit
Where: CorePower Yoga – Rock Rose in The Domain – 3210 Esperanza Crossing #116, Austin, TX 78758
Booked Through: ClassPass
What exactly is CoreCardio Circuit? Besides what the name itself already entails, the CoreCardio Circuit is a cardio based class that integrates plyometric movements to tone, sculpt, and burn off those calories. The class had 4 different stations, each that consisted of 3 exercises that were done in 1 minute intervals.
What do I bring? Sneakers are REQUIRED since this is a cardio class! I honestly didn’t know that going in, and there seemed to be a few regulars in the class that did the circuits without shoes, but lets just keep it clean and wear some sneaks. Also, absolutely bring a water bottle and even a hand towel. It can get real sweaty, real quick.
What else do they offer? CorePower offers everything, including towels for rent, water bottles for sale, showers with the works (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), as well as deodorant and lotion.
**Pro Tip: The parking is FREE in the garage across the street or on the side (as parallel parking) but during the day, since it is in The Domain, it can be tricky to find a spot without driving around for a while, so I would suggest either a morning class or plan in an extra 10 minutes to search for a spot.*
Final thoughts.
CorePower is in a fabulous location because it’s in the newest part of The Domain called “Rock Rose,” so you can make a day out of it and eat, shop, be merry after a nice workout. The facility was also super clean and well put together, as it should be being new!
For members of CorePower, this class is a great way to get in cardio because honestly who wants to pay for 2 memberships or go running outside all the time? So, especially if you’re a member here, you can really reap the benefits of a cardio class being added!
How do I refuel afterwards? The Rock Rose is an amazing new area at the Domain which offers more of a food and night life scene. One of my favorite places to grab a healthy lunch is right across the street, “MAD Greens.” There are also food joints like Tarka Indian Kitchen, Jinya Ramen Bar, and Apanas Coffee + Beer.
