Another year, another trip with the bff! As you can tell by the title of this blog post, we chose to take our adventures to Phoenix Arizona. Fall is one of the perfect times to visit the desert for it’s incredible weather which makes for great outdoor experiences. With that being said, I thought it was only appropriate to compile a list of everything you should do in Phoenix with your best friend.
Below will be a good assortment of healthy food options, the best hikes we went on, and where we stayed (spoiler alert: It wasn’t even in Phoenix!) to the city.
Stay
AC Hotel by Marriott Phoenix Tempe/Downtown
Honestly, we chose this area based on the price. It was so much cheaper than staying in downtown Phoenix or Scottsdale and was only about a 15 minute drive to either city!
The crowd is a lot younger since ASU is located in Tempe but we didn’t find that to be an issue at all… maybe because we like to consider ourselves #forever21?
It ended up being PERFECT because it was an up and coming area that was being remodeled. The hotel was right along the river. And there were some really delicious restaurants within walking distance like Daily Jam & Postino Annnex.

There were so many amazing ones in Phoenix and Sedona that I dedicated a whole blog post that breaks down the length, difficulty level, and location for y’all!
Check out the list here and let me know if you think I missed any or end up going on them your next trip!
Pro Tips
- Highly recommend staying in the Scottsdale or Tempe area if you pick a place! Phoenix was nice but we only actually went into the city one night for dinner. All the great restaurants in my opinion were in Scottsdale.
- GO ON ALL THE HIKES! Take advantage of being outdoors and the gorgeous weather during this time of year.
- Rent a car. It was so nice being able to go from city to city and on our own terms. Plus, this allowed us to explore Sedona and road trip a little more into the mountains.
- If you love nightlife, you’ll love Scottsdale. The scene was club central and I describe it as a “Mini Vegas”
And just like that, you’ve got a sweet little guide to Phoenix and the surrounding cities!
