Red Bird Pilates is a fitness studio that specializes in pilates and personal training to help strengthen, lengthen, and transform your body. The class I took was a combination of HIIT Cardio training and floor pilates movements that gave a great total body workout!
The class began with the pilates portion on the mat that included all sorts of moves that toned our arms, abs, thighs and glutes. After getting warmed up and beginning to start that inevitable dribble of sweat, we head into the HIIT training.
HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training and is usually structured to be doing some sort of exercise for 20 seconds and then you take 10 seconds of recovery and repeat the process with different kinds of exercises.
The class overall got my heart rate elevated and gave me the exact kick start I needed to start my day! Right when people started to walk in, I could tell that it was a very comfortable and friendly environment because everyone was talking and laughing and overall just having a fun time!
