Join Rowing Dock for one of their most popular and spectacular kayak excursions, Bat Paddle! The best way to experience the Austin Bats. Paddle solo or with a friend 2 miles to the famous Congress Avenue Bridge, home of the largest urban bat population in the world, take in a glittering skyline and watch the bats.

This event fills up fast, so be sure to reserve your kayaks early and get ready for an iconic Austin experience. One you will never forget.

Plan to arrive at Rowing Dock at 6:15PM. We will return to the dock at 10:00PM.

Watch and listen as over 1.5 million bats fly overhead on their way to their nightly feeding. This is a 4-mile round-trip kayak excursion is accompanied by excellent Rowing Dock Guides. Along the way, you will be able to take in the sights such as the city skyline, Auditorium Shores, the Austin Power Plan and much more. All viewed from one of the most serene places in town, Lady Bird Lake.
