Fermenting for Fall with Kate Payne

In this demonstration-style class, you will gain a basic understanding of fermentation (or brining) as a form of food preservation.
Lacto-fermented foods provide numerous health benefits using probiotic bacteria to preserve and acidify and food as opposed to vinegar. Kate will demo her recipe from Hip Girl’s Guide to the Kitchen for ‘Dilled Carrots or Any Brined Veggie Ferment’ and discuss using different herbs and veggies to create flavorful, health-promoting additions to meals year-round!
